The standard of verification of news in the field of Hadith and its contemporary significance

Abstract

In today's era, the exchange and transmission of information has become very easy, because of which, sometimes, attention is not paid to verifying the news. Similarly, sometimes anti-national elements spread false news to fulfil their nefarious purposes.  In Islamic history, the high standard of the verification of Hadith remained in every period until the compilation of Hadith. The incidents of the verification of Hadith by the Rightly Guided Caliphs during the era of the Companions are well known. To deal with this problem of fake news, we find the principles of hadith verification, which can be used as a basis to verify the news and deal with the important problem of the present era. These principles are known in the sciences of Hadith as “Dirayat-e-Hadith”. In this article, the principles of news verification in the Hadith will be mentioned, and their importance in the present era will be discussed.
