Abstract

Shaykh Abdul Razzaq is regarded as one of the distinguished scholars of the contemporary era, known for his remarkable contributions to Islamic education, scholarly services, administration, and the promotion of the Arabic language. Born into a religious and knowledgeable family, he was raised in an environment steeped in the teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah, which laid the foundation for his intellectual and spiritual upbringing. He began his early education in his hometown before joining several renowned Islamic seminaries, where he excelled in Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqh, and Arabic. Benefiting from the guidance of prominent scholars of the subcontinent, he eventually became a respected teacher and mentor himself. Shaykh Abdul Razzaq served in various Islamic institutions as both a teacher and administrator, where his sincerity, wisdom, and leadership strengthened these institutions academically and organizationally. Under his guidance, many students graduated and went on to serve as scholars, teachers, muftis, and preachers across the world. One of his most distinguished contributions was his dedication to promoting the Arabic language, using it not only as a medium of instruction but also fostering a love for it among his students, recognizing it as the language of the Qur'an and Islamic scholarship. Scholars have praised him for his sincerity, humility, profound knowledge, fiqh-based understanding, and noble character. In addition, he authored various scholarly writings, lectures, and articles on Hadith, Fiqh, moral training, and contemporary intellectual issues. His life stands as a shining example of knowledge, service to religion, exemplary character, and guidance for the Muslim Ummah. In short, Shaykh Abdul Razzaq's life embodies the true image of an Islamic scholar—combining knowledge with practice, teaching with reform, and service to religion with devotion to the Arabic language.
