Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of the teaching of ʿUlūm al-Ḥadīth in Sialkot, examining its scholarly, intellectual, and social impacts. By exploring both historical and contemporary educational practices in traditional madrasas and modern universities, the research highlights the role of Hadith instruction in shaping students’ critical thinking, analytical abilities, and moral development. The study also evaluates the comparative effectiveness of curricular structures, pedagogical approaches, and research standards, while acknowledging the contributions of prominent scholars and academic families in preserving and transmitting Hadith scholarship. The findings indicate that both educational systems have significantly contributed to the intellectual formation of students and the broader community. At the same time, the research identifies areas requiring improvement, particularly in curriculum development, teaching resources, and the integration of modern research methodologies. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of collaborative academic forums, workshops, and digital resources to enhance scholarly productivity and social engagement. Overall, the study demonstrates that Hadith education in Sialkot continues to uphold its rich scholarly tradition while adapting to contemporary academic and societal demands.
