This study presents an in-depth analysis of the concept of hadhf (deletion) in the Qur'anic text, focusing on its linguistic, jurisprudential (fiqhi), and rational aspects. The article explores the lexical meanings of hadhf and its application within Qur'anic verses, drawing on classical Arabic lexicography and works of eminent scholars like Al-Zamakhshari, Al-Jarjani, and others. It examines the conditions under which deletion occurs, providing a detailed overview of the fiqhi principles and rules governing the omission of words in the Qur'an. The study further investigates the rational reasons behind the use of deletion, emphasizing the theological, philosophical, and literary functions it serves in Qur'anic discourse. The article explores various causes of deletion, including the avoidance of redundancy, the enhancement of meaning through brevity, and the role of hadhf in making the text more impactful and focused. Additionally, it analyzes how hadhf contributes to the dynamics of the Qur'anic message, particularly in its ability to convey profound meanings with linguistic economy and spiritual depth. Through a combination of lexical studies, jurisprudential analysis, and rational reflection, this paper seeks to offer a holistic understanding of deletion in the Qur'an, shedding light on its significance as a rhetorical and theological tool in Islamic exegesis.
