An Ecocritical Perspective on the Poetry of Naseer Ahmad Nasir

Abstract

The environmental perspective has emerged as a significant area of literary inquiry in the twenty-first century, reflecting growing academic interest in ecological awareness and sustainability. Urdu literature is no exception to this global intellectual movement. Urdu poets, scholars, critics, and creative writers have increasingly incorporated environmental concerns into their literary works, thereby contributing to contemporary ecological discourse. Among these writers, Naseer Ahmad Nasir occupies a distinctive position for his thoughtful engagement with environmental issues.
