Abstract

This study presents an analytical examination of the upbringing of special children, focusing on the attitudes and responsibilities of parents and society in the light of Qur’anic teachings. It explores how the Qur’an emphasizes compassion, justice, inclusivity, and the protection of vulnerable individuals, and how these principles can guide both family and community in addressing the unique needs of children with disabilities. By critically analyzing Qur’anic verses and interpretations, the research highlights the dual responsibility of parents in nurturing values, providing care, and ensuring equal opportunities, alongside the societal obligation to foster acceptance, eliminate stigma, and create supportive environments. The findings indicate that the Qur’anic perspective establishes the upbringing of special children as a collective duty rooted in empathy, cooperation, and social justice, thereby underscoring the importance of integrating these values into modern educational and social frameworks for the holistic development of special children.
